Travel Remains Difficult During Massive Snow Dump

We've heard and seen the reports of slid offs, County Sheriffs warning us the roads are bad and to please stay home.


The Colorado Department of Transportation has snow plows deployed and counties and municipalities have also been called out. As of right now COTrip.org is showing the following road and highway closures in Colorado. Many affect eastern Colorado.



Travel Alert | Winter Storm Advisory Expected into Saturday Across Colorado

The National Weather Service forecast calls for snow and high winds to impact much of central Colorado into Saturday (11/9).. Impacted areas include I-25 south of Denver to New Mexico, including Monument Hill, with particularly heavy snow over the Raton Mesa at the Colorado/New Mexico state line. Eastern Colorado along I-70 to Kansas will continue to have high winds, snow and adverse conditions.

  • I-25 Soutbound Only Pueblo to Colorado/New Mexico State Line

  • US 24 Eastbound/Westbound Calhan to Limon

  • US 40 Eastbound/Westbound Limon to Hugo

  • US 350  Eastbound/Westbound Trinidad to La Junta

  • US 160 Eastbound/Westbound CO 350 Junction to CO 389 Junction

  • CO 59 Northbound/Southbound Haxtun to Kit Carson

  • CO 71 Northbound/Southbound Last Chance to Punkin Center

  • CO 86 Eastbound/Westbound Kiowa to I-70

  • CO 94 Eastbound/Westbound El Paso County line to US 40/287 Junction

  • CO 389 Northbound/Southbound New Mexico State border to US 160 Junction

  • CO 109 Northbound/Southbound La junta to Kim
