Small Plane Crash in La Junta Thursday Night

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating a small airplane crash that happened in La Junta Thursday evening.

Otero County Sheriff Shawn Mobley said it happened at 5:29pm, and that the female pilot was transported to Arkansas Regional Medical Center as a precaution.

Employees from the Industrial Park, near the airport, reported seeing multiple fire, medical and police headed to the scene of the accident at the time.
