Staring next year you might not get something to eat your delivery order with, unless you remember to ask specifically for a fork or spoon.
Colorado Democrats are bringing a bill that would eliminate single use utensils in orders unless you ask for them.

According to the bill's text summary it would expand the "Plastic Pollution Reduction Act." The bill would take effect on January 1, 2027 and would require the establishment to leave out the plastic eating utensils unless the customer requests it. The restaurant would need to confirm the customer wants it too.
Senator Lisa Cutter and Representative Meg Froelich are sponsoring the bill that has only has only been introduced to date. Senate Bill 26-146 is set for discussion and testimony in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on April 16th at 1:30.
