Lawsuit in Bent County, Legal Advice to be Sought Thursday

(Las Animas, CO) -- The Bent County attorney has been and will continue to be busy with two legal matters this week.


Thursday, December 29th at 11am in Executive session, County Commissioners and County Attorney Nathan Shultz will discuss a proposed Memorandum of Understanding and Intergovernmental Agreement brought by the McClave School District.



Another item on which county commissioners will seek legal advice is a District Court Case involving Bent County resident Bill Long suing Bent County Clerk Lynda Moss and County Administrator Amanda Leck. The court case is 2022CV30007/ Bill Long v. Lynda Moss and Amanda Leck in their capacities as officials of Bent County.


Conference with the attorney for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes section 24-6-402(4)(b).
