Description: Tigersharks prevail by winning State Spirit Award, having two State Champion 10 & Under Relay teams, three individual State Champions, and placing 3 rd overall in medium teams.
The La Junta Tigersharks Swim Team left the State Championships with many awards for valley families.
The team has worked incredibly hard preparing for this meet with swimmers beginning practice in April of this year.
Some highlights from the State Championships are:
Duncan Balicki becoming the Men’s 15-18 500 Freestyle State Champion.
Sloane Lockhart becoming the Girls 7-8 25 Breast State Champion.
Ryleigh Paugh becoming the Girls 9-10 50 Fly, 50 Free, and 200 IM State Champion.
