(La Junta, CO) -- It's been a long wait for Edward Aragon to make it to trial but the Otero county district court docket has one scheduled for February 2nd. Aragon will be on trial for the 2015 death of his girlfriend, 23-year-old Amanda Ybarra. The trial has been continued or delayed now due to various reasons. Earlier in January, the 16th Judicial District Chief Judge Mark MacDonnell put out an administrative order that due to Covid cases on the rise, all trials set for January would be delayed. So far, Aragon's trial set for next week, February 2nd seems to be on according to the online docket.
