Hunters Affected by the Government Shutdown--Here's How

Today, October 11th, is the day to take action if you want a refund for that hunting license you bought for the Pinon Canyon area.

If you were planning to hunt on the Fort Carson Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site you will not be.

As of right now, because of the federal government shutdown, hunting is suspended in that area.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will give refunds to all who purchased licenses for the mule deer muzzleloader season in Pinon Canyon.

According to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife's website the license must be returned to a CPW office in person or postmarked and mailed by today, October 11th, in order to get the refund.
