The following is from Vicki Turner Harris, thank you for supporting our youth in their interests: The Otero County 4-H Shooting Sports Contest was held July 22nd & 23rd at the La Junta Rifle Club, in La Junta. The top six placings in all the events qualify for State Fair, except Shotgun and the top five placings qualify. This year’s State Shoot is being held in person for the first time in several years. The weekend of August 20 & 21 will be .22 Rifle, Archery, Air Rifle, Air Pistol and Muzzleloading. These events will be held in the Pueblo and Rye areas. The weekend of September 3 & 4th the Shotgun and .22 Pistol events, held in Colorado Springs area.
