Overnight Wildfire in SE Colorado

(Springfield, CO) -- Baca County firefighters battled a blaze on the prairie overnight that spread to more than 1,200 acres. According to the Baca County Sheriff's office reports that the fire was mostly contained in the five o'clock hour Tuesday morning but warned with high winds that could change. The Sheriff's office gave no information on how the fires started but stated they are very short staffed.
