WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper today released the following statement on the passing of Kari Linker who served as his Eastern Plains Regional Director:
“There was no one like Kari, you knew it the minute you met her. It’s why she was so effective in every job she took and why we all came calling. “I’m fortunate she answered that call twice, as governor and as senator. Both times she was a forceful voice for the Eastern Plains and rural Coloradans. “But luckier than being able to call her a colleague was to call her a friend. It’s rare to find someone so effective, yet so absolutely kind and good-hearted. To say we’ll miss her is an understatement.” Prior to working for Senator Hickenlooper, Kari was appointed by then-Governor Hickenlooper to serve in the Colorado Office of Economic Development and prior to that worked for the Morgan County Economic Development Office and Morgan County Community College.
