(La Junta, CO) -- There was hardly a seat Saturday night at the Trading Post Event Center Southwest of La Junta for the Arkansas Valley CASA's Boots & Bling fundraiser. The sold out event treated supporters to an evening of dinner and dancing and a silent auction to boot. No pun intended. Or perhaps, yes it was.
The idea is to get a bunch of local people together for a good time for a good cause. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Volunteers undergo training to be the voice in court for a child.
