Bye Bye Multiple County Sam's Memberships

Bent County will not be paying for every department to have their own Sam's Club Membership.

At Thursday's meeting, Commissioner Jennifer Scofield explained they found the multiples during an examination of the bills. There were departments re-opening the membership accounts and because each one costs money, that was an unneeded expense for the county.

"So the community is aware that we are watching very closely and that tax payer dollars are not being wasted on additional memberships, that was the biggest thing that has stood out in this run of bills."

"And the main reasons being or one of the main reasons being is that we can operate on one card for $110 instead of eight or nine cards at $110 each," Commissioner Alan Stump finished up explaining.
