(La Junta, CO) -- Clean up of a train derailment in the BNSF railyard Sunday lasted into the evening hours. General Director of public affairs for BNSF Lena Kent tells us at approximately 6:00 am central time, 5am mountain time, Sunday, March 26 four cars derailed within the BNSF rail facility in La Junta, CO derailed. There were no injuries and no hazardous materials compromised. Kent reports there was no threat to the public. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
