The Woman’s Civic Club’s February “ROMANCE IN THE AIR” winners were Janice Pryor – one night at the Midnight Rose Hotel and Casino with dinner; Anita Pointon - $100 gift certificate to Ruby Ribbon; Alice Bender – Dairy Queen dinners; and Teresa Garcia bookends. March winners were Judy Carter - $100 worth of Tupperware bowls; Claudia Burkepile – 2-piece set of Thirty-One tote bags; Donna Dodson - $25 cash; Joan Kinsley – homemade winter hat; and Missy Ricken – hammock. Next drawing will be on Santa Fe Trail Day at the Woman’s Civic Club booth across from City Hall at 11:00 immediately following the parade. That drawing will be for the old-fashioned strip quilt from Not Sew Perfect Knots Quilt Shop in Garden City, Kansas, and Mauritta Adams; a hanging basket from Hat and Spur Lumber Yard; and $25 cash. May drawing will be held on May 7th for $25 cash; Dairy Queen 10” ice cream cake; and a 50” big screen television. Tickets are on sale now from any Civic Club member; at the bake sale on Santa Fe Trail Day at our booth; and at Kuhns Chiropractic Clinic. We would like to thank everyone who has helped make our Progressive Drawings such a hit this year to raise money for our community.
March “SPRING FLING drawing winners were Ronda Bucholtz $100 gas gift card to LA Service Station. LaVonne Garrison $50 gift certificate to Carmen’s Restaurant; and Phyllis Lutz bird hanger from Health Mart. February Romance in the Air winners were Janice Pryor – dinner and night at the Midnight Rose Casino in Cripple Creek; Anita Pointon gift certificate to Ruby Ribbon; Alice Bender two dinners at Dairy Queen; and Teresa Garcia book ends from Mimi Marmon. Next drawing will be held on March 5th for $100 Tupperware; ice cream cake from Dairy Queen; two 29 Bag Totes; and $25 cash! The Civic Club is holding a bake sale this Saturday at Thaxton’s from 10:00 am to 2pm. Stop by and grab some homemade goodies and tickets. We give all money we raise back to the community in June!
