Rural Caucus Opposes Appointment

Members of the Colorado General Assembly Rural Caucus have put pen to paper to tell Governor Jared Polis their concerns over the appointment of Dr. Nicole Rosmarino to the State Land Board. Rosmarino was named director of the board which manages nearly three million surface acres of land. The rural caucus, consisting of both Democrats and Republicans sent the letter to Governor Polis due to constituent concerns of Rosmarino's involvement in groups involved in conservation initiatives and rewilding that have opposed traditional agriculture land uses.

According to the Fence Post publication, there will be a public board meeting to confirm her appointment on June 11th and 12th. The State of Colorado requires a 14-day public notice period by state law.
