Rocky Ford Police Respond to a Report of a Gun at the School

News Release from Rocky Ford Police Chief Matthew Wallace

Rocky Ford, Colo. – September 30th, 2025 – The Rocky Ford Police Department received information that threats were made of someone bringing a firearm to the Rocky Ford School during an after school game. Rocky Ford Police Officers and the Otero County Sheriff’s Office responded. No firearms were located.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this investigation is encouraged to contact the Rocky Ford Police Department.
