(Colorado) -- It's talked about a lot at the capital, the treatment of persons in the criminal justice system. This week, Colorado lawmakers will meet in committee to discuss it, hear testimony and more.
Often, the summer meetings or off session meetings are times when discussion happens on a bill that might surface in the next legislative session.
Just a few of the topics set to be addressed are:
Committee Discussion: Bill Draft Request 1 - Juvenile Competency To Proceed
Committee Discussion: Bill Draft Request 2 - Ongoing Funding For 911 Resource Center
Committee Discussion: Bill Draft Request 3 - Medicaid Preauthorization Exemption
Committee Discussion: Bill Draft Request 4 - Youth In Juv Detention Facilities With Hepatitis C
Committee Discussion: Bill Draft Request 5 - Use Of Restrictive Practices In Prisons
As always you can listen in on the day of discussion. Here is the link. It starts Thursday, September 29th at 9am, and if you miss it, the Colorado General Assembly achieves the recording and makes it available in perpetuity on their site.
