It's Back! The Biggest New Year's Eve Ball Drop Southeast Colorado Has Ever Seen.

(La Junta, CO) -- After a year of debilitating social plans crashed due to covid, last New Year's Eve folks were ready to come out to gather to watch 2020 go away. Local businessman Wayne Walter is doing this year what he did last, build a giant ball of lights and planning to countdown the New Year with a drop on Friday night. He donates what he does with the help of other philanthropic minded community members. Friday night's ball drop will take place at the Swink Community Flag pole off highway 50, if you miss it, you're not paying attention. It's free and a family friendly event.
