(Las Animas, CO) -- Bent County is without a public health director as Amanda Terwilliger handed in her resignation on Wednesday. County commissioner Jean Sykes told us it was effective immediately. Sykes says in the interim, assistant director Joni Wilks has been appointed to fill the position. The county will have a job posting ready soon.
Open positions listed with the Bent County Public Health Department right now include Home Health Nurse which pays $27 per hour, Home Health Physical Therapist at $24-30 per hour and Home Health CNA at $15 per hour. Candidates for all positions must be able to pass a drug test, background check and pass a general physical. The application for employment for these three positions can be found here.
