La Junta City Council Promotes Candidate Forum

(La Junta, CO) -- Mayor Jeffri Pruyn announced at this week's city council meeting there would be an opportunity to meet the candidates ahead of the election. The candidate forum will take place Wednesday October 20th at Otero College in the Ed Stafford Theatre. The event starts at 7pm and all residents are encouraged to attend. Incumbent La Junta Mayor Jeffri Pruyn will face former city council member Jim Goodwin and La Junta business man Joe Ayala. There are also contested races in Ward two and Ward three for city council. Elaine McIntyre will be challenged by Chandra Ochoa for her seat and Cayle Hines and Lisa Pantoya are both vying to be council member for ward three.
